About Attack on Titan
Attack on Titan starts with humanity hiding behind walls from man-eating Titans and follows Eren Yeager from recruit to the center of the mystery. Four seasons plus two Final Chapters specials complete the story, animated first by WIT Studio and then by MAPPA.
Recap films and the Junior High parody exist but add nothing on a first watch. The one choice is how to watch the ending: the two TV specials or the theatrical cut, The Last Attack, which combines them.
Good to know
There is no separate chronological order for Attack on Titan worth listing: the story runs straight through, and the prequel OADs like No Regrets contain spoilers if watched early. Release order is the story order.
The series is complete. The manga ended in 2021 and the anime ended with the second special in November 2023, with The Last Attack as its definitive theatrical version from 2024.
