About Nodame Cantabile
Piano slob Megumi Noda and conducting prodigy Shinichi Chiaki push each other from Momogaoka College of Music to concert halls in Paris. J.C.Staff animated three seasons: 23 episodes from January to June 2007, the 11-episode Paris Chapter from October to December 2008, and the 11-episode Finale from January to March 2010.
The story concludes in two live-action films, The Final Score Part I (December 2009) and Part II (April 2010), starring the cast of the 2006 Fuji TV drama. Watch all three anime seasons before the films. Short anime extras from 2008 and 2009 plus a 2010 recap special are optional.
Good to know
The 2006 live-action drama covers roughly the same ground as season 1, so anime viewers can skip it. The 2008 seaside OVA, the 2009 OVA extra, and the April 2010 Finale recap special are side material. No new Nodame anime had been announced as of September 2026.
