About Space Brothers
Space Brothers follows Mutta Nanba as he chases his younger brother Hibito into the astronaut program, years after the two boys promised each other the moon and Mars. A-1 Pictures animated the 99-episode series from 2012 to 2014 and the prequel film Space Brothers #0 in 2014, and the film lands better after the series even though its story comes first.
Good to know
The May 2012 live-action film is a separate adaptation and is not part of this list. Creator Chuya Koyama said in January 2024 that the anime is planned to continue after the manga, but no new series had been dated as of September 2026.
