About Kung Fu Panda
Kung Fu Panda follows noodle-shop worker Po from Dragon Warrior rookie in 2008 to Spiritual Leader in 2024 across four films. Three series fill the gaps: Legends of Awesomeness on Nickelodeon, Paws of Destiny on Amazon and Dragon Knight on Netflix. Jack Black voices Po in the films and returns for Dragon Knight.
Release order is the recommended path. Legends tells episodic side stories from Po's early Dragon Warrior days, Paws of Destiny follows the third film with four new panda pupils, and Dragon Knight closes the series era before the fourth film. Shorts like Secrets of the Furious Five stay optional.

Legends of Awesomeness previewed September 19, 2011 and ran through June 29, 2016 across Nickelodeon and Nicktoons. Paws of Destiny released in two parts on Amazon, November 2018 and July 2019. Dragon Knight ran three seasons on Netflix from July 14, 2022 to September 7, 2023 for 42 episodes. Kung Fu Panda 4 opened theatrically March 8, 2024. A fifth film has no studio date; director Mike Mitchell estimated a sequel would need about three years, pointing to 2027 at the earliest, and a December 2024 insider report claimed 2027 without studio confirmation.
