About Metalocalypse
Adult Swim's Metalocalypse (2006-2012) follows Dethklok, the world's biggest and most inept death-metal band, across 61 episodes in four seasons. Seasons 1, 2 and 4 run 11 minutes per episode; season 3 doubles that. Creator Brendon Small writes the band's real music, released as the Dethalbums.
The story continues in the hour-long rock opera The Doomstar Requiem (October 27, 2013) and ends with the direct-to-video film Army of the Doomstar (August 22, 2023). Watch everything in release order. The film is the finale; nothing further had been announced.
