About Command & Conquer

Command & Conquer is the real-time strategy series that defined 1990s base building, spread across three separate universes: the Tiberian saga, the alternate-history Red Alert saga, and the near-future Generals setting. The three share no story, so each saga stands alone. This play order follows release order, grouped by universe.

Newcomers should start with the Remastered Collection (2020), the current version of Tiberian Dawn and the first Red Alert, then continue down the list. Expansions are folded into their base games below to keep one clean list.

Good to know

Expansions folded into base entries: Covert Ops, Counterstrike, The Aftermath, Firestorm (2000), Yuri's Revenge (2001), Zero Hour (2003), Kane's Wrath (2008) and Uprising (2009). The list skips browser and mobile spinoffs such as Tiberium Alliances and Rivals. EA open-sourced several classic codebases and added Steam Workshop support in February 2025, but no new mainline game has been announced.
