About X-Wing

LucasArts and Totally Games made four space combat sims between 1993 and 1999, and this play order follows their release order.

You fly for the Rebellion in X-Wing, switch to the Empire in TIE Fighter, then close out the series with the multiplayer X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter and the story-driven X-Wing Alliance.

Good to know

Each game had expansions that fold into its entry below: Imperial Pursuit and B-Wing for X-Wing, Defender of the Empire and Enemies of the Empire for TIE Fighter, and Balance of Power for X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter. Alliance ends at the Battle of Endor, so release order is also the story order.
