About The Bad News Bears
Walter Matthau coaches a team of Little League misfits in the 1976 original, followed by two sequels that end with a trip to Japan.
A short-lived CBS series ran from 1979 to 1980, and Richard Linklater remade the original in 2005 with Billy Bob Thornton.
Good to know
The 2005 film remakes the 1976 story with new characters, so it works on its own. The sequels get weaker as they go, and Go to Japan is widely seen as the low point.
