About The Equalizer
The Equalizer films star Denzel Washington as Robert McCall, a retired intelligence operative who protects ordinary people from criminals. The 2014 film sets him up in Boston, the 2018 sequel follows a personal revenge case, and The Equalizer 3 (2023) moves him to Sicily against the Camorra.
The trilogy is linear and director Antoine Fuqua frames the third as McCall's final chapter. The 1980s TV series and the Queen Latifah reboot share the premise but not the continuity.
