About Hammer Horror
Hammer Films rebuilt British horror from 1955 to 1974 on three bloodlines: nine Dracula films, seven Frankenstein films and four Mummy films, all largely standalone sequels.
Around them sit the Quatermass science fiction trilogy, the Karnstein vampire trilogy and one-off classics about werewolves, zombies and devil cults.
Good to know
This guide lists the full Dracula, Frankenstein and Mummy runs plus the key surrounding titles, not the studio's entire output of comedies, thrillers and war films. Later revivals such as The Woman in Black (2012) sit outside the classic run and are not listed.
