About The Jungle Book films
Mowgli's story runs from the Korda adventure of 1942 through Disney animation in 1967, the Sommers adventure of 1994, Favreau's 2016 remake, and Serkis's darker Mowgli in 2018.
Only the two Disney animated films share a continuity, so release order covers every major version without detours.
Good to know
Disney announced a sequel to the 2016 film with Favreau set to return, then shelved it to make The Lion King, and no date has ever followed, so it stays off the list.
