About Men in Black
Sony's MIB series runs four films from 1997 to 2019. The first three follow Agents J (Will Smith) and K (Tommy Lee Jones) under director Barry Sonnenfeld, closing with a time travel story set partly in 1969. Men in Black: International (2019) shifts to the London branch with new leads Tessa Thompson and Chris Hemsworth under director F. Gary Gray.
Release order matches story order, so one list does the job. The planned Jump Street crossover, MIB 23, was scrapped in 2019. Sony announced a new entry in December 2025 with Bad Boys for Life writer Chris Bremner on script, but no cast or date has followed.
Good to know
International underperformed, grossing about $253 million worldwide, the lowest of the series. Smith and Jones appear only in photographs. The December 2025 project has no title, cast, or date as of September 2026, so treat it as early development.
