About Shutter
Banjong Pisanthanakun and Parkpoom Wongpoom directed the Thai original Shutter (2004) about a photographer haunted by a girl from a hit and run.
The same story was retold in Telugu as Photo (2006), in Tamil as Sivi (2007), in Hollywood as Shutter (2008), in Hindi as Click (2010) and in Indonesia as Shutter (2025).
Good to know
The US Shutter opened March 21, 2008, and the Indonesian remake released in 2025 as an official collaboration between Falcon and GDH. No further Shutter remake has a date, and Photo, Sivi and Click reuse the same hit and run setup in new languages.
