About Sonic the Hedgehog
Paramount's Sonic films pair a CG Sonic (Ben Schwartz) with small-town sheriff Tom Wachowski (James Marsden) and a scene-stealing Dr. Robotnik (Jim Carrey). Three films released from 2020 to 2024 introduced Tails, Knuckles, and Shadow the Hedgehog, and the series has passed $1 billion at the global box office.
The six-episode Knuckles series (Paramount+, 2024) slots between the second and third films and bridges them. Sonic the Hedgehog 4 wrapped filming in May 2026, adds Amy Rose (Kristen Bell) and Metal Sonic, and is dated March 19, 2027.
