About The Toxic Avenger
Troma's Toxic Avenger runs four low-budget originals from 1984 to 2000, all produced by Lloyd Kaufman and Michael Herz. Parts II and III were shot together in 1989, and Citizen Toxie followed in 2000. A cartoon spinoff, Toxic Crusaders, aired in 1991.
Macon Blair's remake premiered at festivals in 2023 with Peter Dinklage as Winston Gooze, then reached US theaters unrated on August 29, 2025 through Cineverse after Legendary's production. Release order is the whole guide; every entry stands alone.
Good to know
