About Charmed
The original Charmed aired on The WB from October 7, 1998 to May 21, 2006 for eight seasons and 178 episodes. It follows Prue, Piper and Phoebe Halliwell as they learn they are the Charmed Ones. Shannen Doherty left after season 3, and Rose McGowan joined as half sister Paige Matthews in season 4.
The CW reboot aired from October 14, 2018 to June 10, 2022 for four seasons. It follows sisters Mel and Maggie Vera with Macy Vaughn, then Kaela Danso from season 4 after Macy dies. It is a separate continuity, so watch the original first and then the reboot.
Good to know
The reboot finale sends Mel, Maggie and Kaela through a portal to Halliwell Manor and frames the two shows as parallel worlds, but the casts and plots do not cross over otherwise. The CW canceled the reboot in May 2022. No new Charmed series was announced as of September 17, 2026.
