About Demon Slayer
Demon Slayer follows Tanjiro Kamado as he trains to become a demon slayer and searches for a cure for his sister Nezuko, who was turned into a demon. The anime mixes TV seasons with theatrical movies, and the one thing that trips up new viewers is exactly where the Mugen Train movie fits, since it is not an optional side story but a required part of the main plot.
The final arc of the manga is being adapted as a three-part movie trilogy, Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle, rather than a fifth TV season.
Good to know
There is no separate chronological order for Demon Slayer worth listing: the story is told in a straight line with no flashback seasons or time jumps to reorder around, so release order and story order are the same list. The one decision left to you is whether to watch the Mugen Train arc as the original movie or its 7-episode TV re-cut, both cover the same events.
