About Getter Robo
Getter Robo began as a 1974 TV series from Go Nagai and Ken Ishikawa and grew into decades of sequels, remakes and alternate retellings across TV and OVA. Later entries reuse the same pilots and machines in separate timelines, so release order is the safest path and continuity order is a rough guide at best.
Good to know
A live action Getter Robo film was announced in 2023 with a crowdfunded pilot, but it still has no confirmed release date. Getter Robo Arc adapts Ken Ishikawa's final manga, and its story stops where the unfinished manga stopped.
