About Ratchet & Clank
Ratchet & Clank follows Lombax mechanic Ratchet and robot Clank across the PS2 trilogy (2002-2004), the darker Deadlocked (2005), the Future saga (2007-2009 plus Into the Nexus in 2013), the 2016 reimagining and Rift Apart (2021). Each game stands alone, so release order works as the play order.
Newcomers should start with the 2016 Ratchet & Clank or Rift Apart, both built as fresh entry points. The co-op spin-offs (All 4 One, Full Frontal Assault) are skippable side stories. Ranger Rumble, a mobile hero shooter, is in pre-registration for a 2026 launch.
Good to know
The Oct 5, 2026 Ranger Rumble date comes from the App Store listing; PlayStation has confirmed pre-registration and soft launches but not a firm global day, so treat it as expected. Full Frontal Assault is also known as QForce in Europe. Deadlocked carries the Gladiator subtitle in some regions.
