Degrassi Classic
- 1 The Kids of Degrassi Street 26 episodes. Began as CBC short films in 1979; weekly series from 1982 to 1986.
- 2 Degrassi Junior High 42 episodes across 3 seasons, 1987 to 1989.
- 3 Degrassi High 28 episodes across 2 seasons, 1989 to 1991. Follow with the 1992 TV movie School's Out, which ends the classic era.
Revival era
- 4 Degrassi: The Next Generation 385 episodes across 14 seasons, 2001 to 2015. Retitled Degrassi from season 10 after the move to TeenNick.

About Degrassi
Degrassi is a Canadian teen drama franchise created by Linda Schuyler and Kit Hood. It spans five series and 522 episodes from 1979 to 2017, starting as CBC shorts about Toronto schoolchildren and growing into the first modern television teen drama with Degrassi Junior High. Release order is the recommended watch, since each generation hands the school off to the next.
Degrassi: The Next Generation ran 385 episodes over 14 seasons from 2001 to 2015, launched the careers of Drake and Nina Dobrev, and dropped its subtitle for its final five seasons on TeenNick. Degrassi: Next Class followed on Netflix and Family Channel with 40 episodes over four seasons in 2016 and 2017. A new series announced for HBO Max in January 2022 was scrapped after the Warner Bros. Discovery merger, and nothing has been greenlit since.
Good to know
The Kids of Degrassi Street began as short films in 1979 and became a weekly series in 1982. The 1992 TV movie School's Out closes the classic era after Degrassi High; the documentary miniseries Degrassi Talks is optional and outside this list. Producers count Next Class as the fifteenth season of The Next Generation, but Netflix lists it separately. WildBrain has said it still wants to continue the franchise, but no project was active as of September 17, 2026.
