About The Twilight Zone
The Twilight Zone is an anthology, so episodes stand alone and release order is a suggestion rather than a requirement. Start with the 1959 original. It set the format and every revival refers back to it.
This list runs the five seasons of the original CBS run, the 1983 film, then each revival in the order it aired: the 1985 series, the 2002 UPN series, and the two seasons of the 2019 CBS All Access series.
Good to know
Season 4 of the original run switched to hour-long episodes; the other four seasons are half-hour. The 1985 revival aired two seasons on CBS (1985 to 1987) then a third in syndication (1988 to 1989) with Robin Ward replacing Charles Aidman as narrator. The 2002 revival ran one season on UPN with Forest Whitaker as host. The 2019 revival ran two seasons on CBS All Access with Jordan Peele as host and narrator; the service said in February 2021 it would not return. No new Twilight Zone series had been announced as of 2026-09-17. The 1994 TV film Rod Serling's Lost Classics is not listed.
