About Vikings
Vikings ran for six seasons on History, from the March 2013 premiere to the final episodes released on Amazon Prime Video in December 2020 and aired in Canada in early 2021. It follows Ragnar Lothbrok and then his sons from the first raids on England through the wars in Francia and the Mediterranean.
Vikings: Valhalla is a Netflix sequel set about a century later, following Leif Eriksson, Freydis Eiriksdottir and Harald Sigurdsson across three seasons (2022 to 2024). Watch Vikings first, then Valhalla seasons 1 to 3. Release order and story order are the same here.
Good to know
Valhalla season 3 (July 11 2024) was confirmed as the final season in October 2023. No fourth season or further spinoff had been announced as of 2026-09-17. Vikings season 6 aired in two parts: part 1 from December 2019, part 2 streaming December 2020 and broadcast in Canada January to March 2021.
