About Jurassic Park
Jurassic Park asks what happens when cloned dinosaurs meet a theme park with weak security. The original trilogy follows the fallout on two islands, and the Jurassic World trilogy picks up years later after someone actually opened the park to the public. Jurassic World Rebirth starts a new chapter with a fresh cast.
The story runs in a straight line from 1993 to today. Shorts like Battle at Big Rock and the Netflix series Camp Cretaceous and Chaos Theory add texture, but none of them is required to follow the films.
Good to know
There is no separate chronological order for Jurassic worth listing: the films tell one continuous story in the order they were released, so release order and story order are the same list. Rebirth is set in 2027, five years after Dominion, and works as a jumping-on point if seven films feels like a lot.
A follow-up to Rebirth is in development with David Koepp writing, but it has no director or release date since Gareth Edwards exited in August 2026.
