About The Handmaid's Tale
The Handmaid's Tale follows June Osborne inside Gilead, a totalitarian regime built on the former United States that forces fertile women into surrogacy. Six seasons aired on Hulu from 2017 to 2025, ending with Gilead's hold breaking in Boston while June's daughter Hannah remains inside.
The Testaments adapts Margaret Atwood's 2019 sequel novel, following Hannah, Nichole, and Aunt Lydia a few years later. It was in production through 2025 with no release date announced.

Season 6 ran from April 8 to May 27, 2025. The Testaments began production in April 2025 with Bruce Miller as showrunner and Elisabeth Moss producing; casting was announced but Hulu had not set a premiere date as of 2026-09-17.
